Abstract

Dynamic recrystallization behavior of 403(modified) martensitic stainless steel was investigated under varying temperature, strain rates and strain by hot deformation test. The results show that higher deformation temperature and smaller strain rate lead to dynamic recrystallization easier under the same strain condition. As the strain rises to certain extent, the strain hardening will play a leading role during deformation process.Under the same condition, the more the strain, the smaller the recrystallization grain size. The extent of recrystallization is varying even in one sample of different parts, and recrystallization is easy to occur in big equivalent strain region.Under the same strain, dynamic recrystallization grain size D is related with Z parameter,D=3007.64Z-0.19,Z=e··exp(367.293/RT).
