Camp Model Of Child Love The Environment As An Informal Education Of Children Have Environmental Ethics

Abstract

Environmental subjects included in the formal education curriculum of primary school level implies the importance of children begin to realize local and global issues early. With a curriculum that focuses the child to be active during learning, children are expected to have an ethical environment in the most simple way. However, in implementation of the curriculum didn’t go well. This occurs because teachers are less appropriate in executing learning model. Based on these problems, offered a conceptual idea as an alternative to creating a fun learning environment for children to have a mindset of environmental ethics in informal education settings. Informal education in this context is carried out by the group in the form of self-learning activities outside the school system. The model offered is a brief camp about the simulation of life tune with nature. The activities offered include day-to-day activities of saving water and electricity, garbage recognize, watching movies, discussions, practice makes organic fertilizer, planting, and outbound which leads to the critical reflection of environmental ethics. All lessons was given not only provide skills and cognitive information, but also changes the mindset of children to preserve the environment so that the leads to action as aspects of evaluation. This idea will be followed up for an study to mass continuous program with the support of institutions concerned were loaded with various educational and environmental experts.
