Abstract
The purpose of the study was to evaluate immune effect of recombinant chicken interleukin-2(IL-2) on an inactivated vaccine against H5N1 subtype avian influenza.The recombinant IL-2 protein and avian influenza inactivated vaccine were used as immunogens to immunize 14-day-age specific pathogen free (SPF) chickens.The titers of serum antibody against avian influenza virus and the number of spleen T-lymphocyte subsets were measured at one-week interval.In addition,the protection rate of the vaccine to the chickens post-challenge was calculated.The results indicated that recombinant IL-2 enhanced the serum antibody titers significantly and increased the spleenic T-lymphocyte CD4+ and CD8+ cells of immunized chickens.
