Abstract
People come to therapy because they are in pain. We all want to be 'happy' but the central and immediate concern of therapy is about finding a way to support people to find their own ways to cope with the inevitable stresses and losses of life. Happiness, whatever it is for each of us, is elusive. (non-author abstract)
