Abstract

DEVELOPING A NUTRIENT TRADING PROGRAM IN MARYLANDThe Chesapeake Bay Program has produced challenging new goals for reducing nitrogen and phosphorus loads to the Bay. By 2010, Maryland must reduce its annual nitrogen load to the Bay from 57 million pounds to 37 million pounds and its phosphorus load from 3.8 million pounds to 2.9 million pounds. The wastewater component of Maryland's proposed strategy to accomplish this is to upgrade all 67 major...Author(s)Cy JonesSourceProceedings of the Water Environment FederationSubjectSession 28: Trading: TMDLs and BeyondDocument typeConference PaperPublisherWater Environment FederationPrint publication date Jan, 2004ISSN1938-6478SICI1938-6478(20040101)2004:14L.620;1-DOI10.2175/193864704784137486Volume / Issue2004 / 14Content sourceWEFTECFirst / last page(s)620 - 626Copyright2004Word count292
