Abstract
The electromagnetic parameters of the long-stroke tubular permanent magnet synchronous linear motor (TPMSLM) are influenced by the coupling length of the mover and the windings. This paper reports the research on the flux linkage and the inductance characteristics of the long-stroke TPMSLM in the whole moving range. In this paper, the expressions of the inductance in the fully coupled region and the flux linkage are established analytically. Then, measuring methods of the parameters are introduced. At last, the analytical results are validated by the measurement method and the finite element method (FEM). And the flux linkage and the inductance characteristics of the motor are discussed.
