The article, at the theoretical and methodological level, proved that such complex and comprehensive global processes as globalization should be considered in the framework of cognitive schemes and on the base of methodologies of various social sciences: general sociology, social philosophy, international political economy, political science, history and culturology. The growing role of cultural-value factors of international economic interaction and foreigneconomy action in the context of globalization is studied. The growing complexity and variety of motives of social action of subjects of international economic relations in the global environment, which (motives) compose complex and historically variable motivational configurations, are also demonstrated. The cultural-value aspects of economic globalization are defined in a triple way. These aspects, at the same time, unleash value conflicts; produce value convergence; create historical prerequisites for value diversity and the global prosperity of cultural pluralism. Two main types, caused by globalization, value contradictions, which have a direct impact upon the fields of the world economy and world politics (conflicts at the cultural and civilizational level, on the one hand, and conflicts at the national and cultural level, on the other hand) are distinguished. The role of the cultural-education factor in the building of the innovative model of national development and the national society of knowledge, which are the most appropriate forms of existence in globalized and post-industrial Modernity, is emphasized. The cultural-value aspects of the objective contradictions caused by globalization are regarded. Analyses of a wide range of sources made possible to contribute to the formation of the «axiology of globalization» as an integral part of the interdisciplinary science of global studies.
