Abstract

The all-factors experiment was designed to optimize ɑ-amylase and glucoamylase dosage for establishing the ethanol production technology from sweet potato starch fermented by Zymomonas mobilis. The optimum combination was 80U/g ɑ-amylase and 400U/g glucoamylase. The operation condition of ethanol produced from sweet potato starch fermented by Zymomonas mobilis was optimized by using the single factor and orthogonal experiments. The results showed that the ethanol yield could reach 14.10%(v/v),the starch utilization rate and the ethanol yield of starch were 45.28% and 25.73% under the optimum conditions of 1∶2 of sweet potato starch to water,40% solution volume in 500mL flask,400U/g glucoamylase,pH 4,35℃ and shaking culture respectively.
