Abstract

Level 3 (4 km) monthly and 8-Day SST and CHL data from the MODIS-Aqua and MODIS-terra were fused and reconstructed by DINEOF method and used to detect the relationship between them. SSTs and CHL concentration are highly positive correlated in the coastal areas, with the correlation coefficient reaches 0.3505. The relationship between the CHL and SST is established by the 2-order Gaussian fitting, with the RMSE reaching 0.7776.
