The structure, function, and salt-secreted mechanism of salt glands

Abstract

Three issues are mainly discussed: the characteristics of the ultrastructure of salt glands; the function of salt glands; salt-secreted mechanism. It is especially pointed out that plasma membrane H~(+)-ATPase plays an important role in the course of secreting salt. At last, the directions of the research about salt glands are pointed out.
