When Dubai's past became present

Dubai has witnessed rapid rises both in urbanism and economical growth that led to the increase of the population count dramatically in such a short period of time. This book will discuss a brief description of the geographical background of Dubai; study the growth of the population in the emirate between the years 2011-1881; describe the components affecting the growth; and illustrating each role related to the natural growth and the foreign workforce in increasing the population count also showing some effects caused by the fast growth of the population. This book will highlight the importance of urban sprawl and using geographical information system to integrate gathered data to produce urban sprawl maps. It will also mention the analysis of the Population growth and urban sprawl using charts, tables and figures that show the shape and rates of urban population growth and the changes that have occurred and the problems related to the studied area and the future trends in the urban population growth.
