Abstract

Induced pluripotent stem cells (iPS cells) have similar properties to that of embryonic stem cells (ES cells). These cells are pluripotent and are produced by reprogramming somatic cells by the addition of some transcription factors. There are a number of methods for the production of iPSCs. In order to obtain iPSCS, some variables must be considered. Each method of producing iPSCs has its own pros and cons.
