Abstract Grouting is a common method for pavement reinforcement. In order to improve the characteristics of the slurry, additives such as retarder and water reduce agent, are mixed with the slurry. This paper was focused on effect of the retarder for grouting materials in pavement reinforcement. Several tests have been done to reveal the effect of mass of retarder for setting time, flowability and strength. According to the result of the test, the best choice of retarders for a pavement grouting is the retarder e (NMS) for its good performance in the setting time, flowability, compressive strength and the price.
