Abstract

To explore teh effects of multi-colonal lipopolysaccharide binding prtein antibody (mLBPab) on cytokine expressions in alveoar macrophage of rat acute lung injury induced by lipolpoysaccharide(LPS). The IL-1#beta# and IL-18 mRNA expression was measured by semi-quantiative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) in alveoar macrophages (AM) of rats stimulated with LPS or LPS+LBP or LPS+LBP+mLBPab, TNF-#alpha# concentration was measured by ELISA. The IL-1#beta#, IL-18 expression and TNF-#alpha# concentration signifcantly increaed in AM stimulated with signle LPS, however they signifcantly decreased in AM treatd with mLBPab, especially in the LPS+promLBPab group, The mLBPab can decrease the mRNA expression and secretion of cytokines in teh AM of acute lung injury induced by LPS. LBP antibody can attenuate the inflammation induced by LPS and can be used to cure some inflammatory diseases such as SIRS, acute lung injury, ARDS or septic syndrome.
