Abstract
Gua Musang is the largest district in Kelantan state and is a remote area and is still in backward condition. Gua Musang existed in Paleozoic Era that is middle Permian to Upper Triassic which 250 —300 million years ago. Gua Musang has Wonderful landforms/landscapes and amazing phenomena all around the world. Mountains, hills, rivers, and waterfalls are some natural attractions of an area in Gua Musang. Proposing Gua Musang to be a geopark is the good initiative to develop a sustainable development. All these potentials should be conserved and developed by promoting them as geotourism sites. This initiative can help to maintain and protect natural attractions while supporting the economic development in the area. The identity of the geopark element that consists three pillars geodiversity, biodiversity and sociology and anthropology will be part of geopark. Gua Musang has so many geological features that have good potential as a tourist and be the geosites. The elements were analyzed on the quantitative and qualitative method based on the site. Some facility needs to develop to attract the tourist having a leisure time in Gua Musang. Gua Musang has strength geodiversity, biodiversity and sosiology and antrapology to publish UNESCO global geopark based criteria and community.
