Abstract

Separate dual-left turn lane setting is different from the paratactic dual-left turn. The traffic characteristics of the release process of the two traffic flows in the intersection also have significantly difference. The conflict point of the separate dual-left turn traffic flow in the intersection is analyzed. This paper amends the critical lane flow, saturation flow rate, the loss time of phase and the green light interval time of the signal control parameters. Using the webster method, this paper gives the separate intersection signal cycle length formula under the non-saturation states. The research results show that the new signal timing method is more suitable for the split double left turn intersection.
