Abstract

Time-Frequency signal analysis represents the function in both time and frequency domains by the calculation of the spectrum at regular intervals of time. Moreover, Time-Frequency analysis is based on Fourier Transform. There are several Time-Frequency distribution functions such as Short-Time Fourier Transform (STFT), Continuous Wavelet Transform (CWT), and Wigner Ville Transform (WVT). This article focuses on chafed faults detection by using STFT, CWT, and WVT. Finally, a comparison of these approaches' performances is made.
