Abstract
Demolition of buildings by mining is most commonly used when buildings we want to demolish are located in areas which are out of reach of machinery. Mining is the fastest way of demolition but the time it takes to remove remaining debris from the area is significantly longer. Demolition of objects by explosive energy is commonly used in populated areas which brings us to the limitations related to security aspects (near objects, people etc.). Under those circumstances it is crucial to use explosive charges which will enable us to achieve the best demolition results with as low quantity of explosives as possible. In this paper I covered demolition of buildings with explosives and mechanical tools, demolition of industrial plants where the attention is on demolition of industrial chimneys
