Abstract

This final thesis presents aspects of geothermal energy usage. About the use of geothermal energy it has been intensively spoken since the 1970s when INA has established geological drilling great geological potential in the Pannonian part of the Republic of Croatia. Usage technologies Geothermal power generation has been known in the world much earlier. Various scientific studies and analyzes have just confirmed the thesis that geothermal energy is renewable and an environmentally friendly energy source. Most of the scientific work to date has focused on the partial study of geothermal technology and technological processes and environmental impacts of particular technologies. Some sources were examined geologically, many studies were commissioned from local government units showing that a source in their area suitable for exploitation. However, the results are devastating. Despite forecasts and “opening of works on construction” of geothermal power plants by 2019 in the Republic Croatia does not have a single geothermal power plant to supply electricity to energy the system. The aim of this final paper is to show the complexity of this problem. Unite in one place various information related to the use of geothermal energy. It points to both positive and negative aspects of geothermal energy. Possibilities of use in other areas, such as heating and aquaculture, to increase the economic impact of the investment itself. An example of a geothermal power plant in Draskovac in Međimurje is specifically cited. The power plant that is with its innovative hybrid technology, it is the first of its kind in the world and has received a special one a grant from the European Union for construction. The Government of the Republic of Croatia is in session on 25 July 2019. adopted the decision on proclamation of the project “Advanced Geothermal Power Plant with Internalization AAT Geothermae Carbon Compounds’ is a strategic investment project of the Republic of Croatia. In addition, a simulation was made to install a pipeline for geothermal heating Economic zones north in Prelog. The simulation was created in Python using EPANET, a program for hydraulic analysis of the water supply network.
