Abstract
To understand the genetic diversity of sweetpotato(Ipomoea batatas) collected from USA,72 sweetpotato breeding lines were analyzed using ISSR markers. The genetic similarity of genetic relationship was calculated by NTSYS software, and dendrogram was clustered by UPGMA method.Based on 73 polymorphic bands amplified from ten primer pairs, genetic similarities among 25 USA lines and 47 control lines ranged from 0.52 to 0.94,with an average genetic similarity of 0.74.The results showed that sufficient polymorphism could be found among USA sweetpotato breeding lines, and some lines, such as 6-3-land 6-8-7,could be potential for sweetpotato hybridization breeding.
