Abstract
Drilling in the low permeability soft outburst coal seam is still an unsolved problem in our country. Considering the field application nowadays, triangular drill pipe, due to special structure and drilling method, has certain effect in drilling the gas drainage hole in soft coal seam. However, drilling in the extremely unstable soft coal seam, triangular drill pipe is easily broken and cause drills accident.Therefore, combined the merits of triangular drill pipe, spiral drill pipe and wide blade drill pipe, we develop the triangular helix drilling rod applied in the soft coal seam, which has been tested in field experiment.
