Abstract

By using selective medium for first selection and repeat selection from several samlpes, after checking biological characteristics and protracting growth curves and oxidation curves of the bacteria obtained, and checking the growth in different pH and temperature range. Then 2 strains of iron and manganese removing bacteria are obtained,in the medium with Fe2+ 160 mg/L and Mn2+65 mg/L,the iron removal rate of each bacteria can reach nearly 100%,the average removal of manganese is over 85%,the result of checkup throw out that they are both G-,and there is the correlation between the exponential phase of growth and the time of iron removing, but the oxidation of manganese is relatively hysteretic, the optimum temperature and pH during the culture:25~28 ℃,6.8~7.5,respectively.
