Abstract
This paper focuses on the design and realization of a kind of continuous interpolator for digital differential ana-lyzer based on FPGA(field programmable gate array).This interpolator can execute not only circular interpolation or line interpolation individually,but also continuous interpolation between two axes,which execute circular interpolation and line interpolation alternately.This hardware interpolator releases the host computer resource,increases the high speed and the accuracy of DDA(digital differential analyzer) interpolation algorithm.The simulations made by hardware language VHDL and the software quartusII demonstrate the feasibility and validity of this design.
