Abstract

Birds in Yan'an Huanglongshan Nature Reserve were surveyed from March 2006 to March 2007.There were 139 species,belonging to 32 families,14 orders.Four species were national protected first-grade birds,and 18 species were national protected second-grade birds.Of the 139 species,57 were residents,35 species summer-type,19 species winter-type,and 28 species troop-type,so residents and summer migrants added up to 66.19%.Twenty-two species are CITES listed,4 species are IUCN listed,and 7 species are Red Listed species of China.Geographical distribution includes 39 Palaearctic species,21 Oriental species and 32 cosmopolitan species.The results indicated that the avifauna was mainly Palaearctic species as well as Oriental species.Detailed analysis of its distribution pattern revealed features distinct to the North China,Tibet and Mongolia regions.
