Abstract

This article deals with the nature of the spirit of Confucius's personality, depending on the characteristics of the times of Confucius. The authors point out in this article that the formation of Confucius's personality was strongly influenced by the special social surroundings at that time, family background and his experience. Confucius was a man with the following characters: self-improving, fond of learning, working persistently, realistic, optimistic and honest. These characters of Confucius show his personality of desiring to advance. This quality is not only the foundation of Confucius's success; it also has become the valuable quality of Chinese. One of the most important reasons why Confucius's idea has been widely spread in the world is his personality. The personality of Confucius and his thought together formed his spirit to enlighten others as a great man in the world.
