Abstract
The minimum absolute error regression was compared with stepwise regression from the theory and uses the data collected from Forest Phenology Meteorological Station of Dongfanghong Forestry Bureau to conduct correlation calculation. The local rainfall area and rainfall samples were analyzed systematically. Calculation and analysis results showed that the minimum absolute error regression has better prediction ability, which has a positive significance on forest short term weather forecast.
