Abstract
This paper is based on an example from the Ganguyi oilfield in the Ordos Basin.Chang 6 oil layer is the main oil-bearing formation of this field.Through analysing the features and relationships of the physical properties, sedimentary properties, lithofacies properties, and the production of different settings of Chang 6 oil layer,it can be concluded that the lithofacies of reservoirs control on the well production. With high permeability, the well in the underwater distributary river channel has high production, but the well in the overflow sandbank with low permeability has low production. The wells with high production are distributed in the strip of the plane in the same way as the distribution of lithofacies and permeability. This research provides a geological basis for the next adjustment of this oilfield development scheme and for similar reservoirs in the Ordos Basin.
