Textile and Clothing Industry in Thailand

Abstract
Textile and clothing industry is a very important economic sector in Thailand.The paper first examines the development process of the industry,which underwent from a mix of protection and restriction to encouragement and rapid expansion.After summing up the characteristics of international trade of Thai textiles and clothing,the paper points out the problems and challenges faced by this industry and discusses government policies.
