Abstract
A novel real time ultrasonic phased array detection system was developed for nondestructive testing(NDT).Based on the theory of ultrasonic phased array,an efficient architecture consisting of one main board, one control board and eight transmit/receive boards was described. And the use of Universal Serial Bus(USB) improved the transform speed and reduced the complexity of the hardware interface.Preliminary experimental results show that the novel real time ultrasonic phased array detection system is effective for nondestructive testing.
