Abstract
Gouge is an information carrier for fault activity. The date of the fault activity can be identified by observation of the micro-morphologic characteristics of quartz in the gouges. In this paper, the dissolved micro-morphology of quartz, which are collected from the gouge of the Zhuying-Gongda fault belt in Sichuan Province, are observed and statistically analyzed by SEM.The result shows that the dissolved micro-morphology is not complicated.Comparing it with the diagram by Kanaori Y et al,it is indicated that the fault activity time was of Middle Pleistocene. This analysis is consistent with the dating value of the fault by ESR.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
