Abstract

atomic fluorescence spectrometry was applied to the determination of antimony in water. The water sample was pretreated by 5% hydrochloric acid and 5% Thiourea-5% Ascorbic acid. The determination of antimony in water is based on 2% potassium borohydride and 0.5% potassium hydroxide taken as reducer in medium of 5% hydrochloric acid. The detection limits is 0.2 μg/L.This method has a better correlation coefficients(r0.999) and higher precisions. The recovery rates ranges from 99.5% to 101.5%.This method is simple, high sensitive and has less interference. It is suitable to determine antimony in water.
