Abstract
The prototype dynamic test and its results of Shangqiao Sluice′s pier in Anhui Province are presented, and the dynamic response of a single pier is analyzed by use of the finite element method. It can be seen that the current calculation method of a single pier in seismic resistance analysis for sluices should be improved because the numerical calculation results are not agreeable to the prototype dynamic test results.
