Abstract
The sulphur capacity of CaO-SiO2-Al2O3-MgO-FetO slags with fixed slag composition,at different temperature and under different gas pressure was measured using gas-slag equilibrium techniques. In Pt crucible, the slag was equilibrated with a mixture of CO,CO2,SO2 and N2 at required partial pressures of oxygen and sulphur. It was shown that, the sulphur capacity of slag decreases with the increase of temperature under constant gas pressure;at a constant temperature the rising of oxygen pressure results in an increase in sulphur capacity.
