Abstract
Hydrodynamic study on artificial reefs is very important in reef design and establishment it.This paper presents two reef models. The resistance was measured at different current velocities in a water tank. The results show that, when Re7.5×104,Cd is 1.64 for the reef model without lid(θ=0(°)),and Re6.36×104,Cd is 1.3 for the reef model without lid(θ=45(°));when Re6×104,Cd is 1.69 for the reef model with lid(θ=0(°)),and Re8.48×104,Cd is 1.43 for the reef model with lid(θ=45(°)).The resistance for θ=45(°) is larger than that for θ=0(°).The resistance of the reef model with lid is larger than that without lid in the same orientation.
