Abstract
Objective To explore the changes of Escherichia coli biofilm in medicine effects observed by optical microscopy along with silver staining method.Methods Escherichia coli were cultivated in peritoneal dialysis solution-peritoneal dialysis cathete system to establish Escherichia coli biofilm model.After the biofilm was treated by medicine,we observe the changes of biofilm with optical microscope and scanning electronic microscope,respectively.Results After using silver staining method with the observation of optical microscope,the changes of Escherichia coli biofilm were showed no difference between optical microscope and scanning electronic microscope.Conclusions Through silver staining method,the changes of Escherichia coli biofilm can be more easily observed by optical microscope,and the experimental results were stable and reliable.
