This booklet gives a brief historical view of adult, community and further education in Victoria. It covers Victorian government involvement in the area, analyses the values and characteristics of adult, community and further education and the goals and aims and objectives of this field. This history has been undertaken to give members of the Adult, Community and Further Education Board, Regional Councils of Adult, Community and Further Education and the various boards and committees of management a common understanding of the origins and achievements of adult, community and further education.
