Abstract
S1 spike protein is one of the important functional proteins fo infectious bronchitis virus (IBV). Based on the reported sequence of the spike protein gene, IBV-Beaudette, two specific primers were synthesized. A 1652 bp DNA fragment was amplicated by RT-PCR from the viral RNA of IBV, Shanghai isolate S_(2)T_(2), and further cloned into plasmid pSK(+). Restriction mapping revealed that the result was consistent with the reported data. Comparison of sequence fo S1 spike gene of S_(2)T_(2) with IBV-Beaudette, -Japan isolate, -M41 showed that the homologies were 95.1%、93.6% and 96.7% in amino acid respectively.
