Abstract

The objectives of this paper are: To explore the contribution that institutionalized land use planning can make to the achievement of sustainable development. To identify general principles of land use planning and its application to further the implementation of sustainable development in different parts of Canada. To examine the federal interest and role in land use planning in Canada.
