Abstract
Biosynthesis and secretion of siderophore by Magnetotactic bacterium WD-1 was induced by 5mumol/L ferric malate and inhibited by high ferric concentration. During its growth, siderophore can^t be synthesized and secreted constantly, but is regulated by its ferric requirement and obtainable ferric concentration from its environment. Magnetotactic bacteria WD-1 produces the hydroxamate siderophores.
