Abstract

While the name of Anteros is mostly forgotten in contemporary contexts, the problems of Eros that he addresses remain as much a part of our human condition as ever. Contemporary poets such as Anne Carson and Thom Gunn and filmmakers such as Krzystof Kieslowski make clear the pertinence of the anterotic to our time.
