First record of the genus Longarista Volynkin from India, with description of the female of Longarista kareli Volynkin (Lepidoptera, Erebidae, Arctiinae, Lithosiini)

Abstract

The genus Longarista Volynkin, 2019 is reported for the first time in India. The genus is represented in India by Longarista kareli Volynkin, 2019 previously known from Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, and Myanmar. The female of L. kareli is described for the first time. Illustrations of adults and genitalia of both species of the genus are provided.
