Extragingival Pyogenic Granuloma: A Common Lesion in an Uncommon Location

Abstract
Reactive lesions of the oral mucosa are benign and common entities which occur with greater frequency. When the same lesions occur in uncommon sites, they may pose a challenge in diagnosis. One such lesion is the extragingival pyogenic granuloma, which is a counterpart of the most common reactive lesion, the pyogenic granuloma. A case of extragingival pyogenic granuloma occurring on the buccal mucosa of an elderly patient is being presented.
