Abstract

This article discusses the issue of enemy aliens, United States citizens and Austrian and Hungarian citizens residing in enemy territory. It analyzes the policy of both governments with regard to this issue and also presents examples of the fates of selected individuals. The author mainly focuses on the issue of the internment of enemy aliens and their inclusion in the armies of both countries.
