Abstract
Lingzhi Mushroom (Ganoderma lucidum) contains a variety of bioactive elements such as terpenoids, polysaccharides, steroids, phenols, and glycoproteins, as well as some researchers also report that Triterpen and polysaccharide are the main components actively Physiological. Compounds that have certain bioactivity are often toxic to shrimp larvae, therefore, it is necessary to do toxicity test, one of them using BSLT test (Brine Shrimp Lethality Test). In this circuit the larvae of shrimp are divided into 5 treatment groups i.e. each test group as many as 10 larva shrimp and Lingzhi mushroom extract with a concentration of 20 ppm, 40 ppm, 60 ppm, 80 ppm, 100 ppm. This method is aimed at the mortality rate of the shrimp larva Artemia salina L, which is caused by test extracts. The results are calculated as the LC50 (Letal concentration) value of the test extract, i.e. the dosage amount or the concentration of test extracts that can lead to the death of shrimp larvae by 50% after the incubation period of 24 hours. Compounds with LC50 < 1000 μg/ml can be regarded as an active compound based on Meyer. Lingzhi Mushroom Extract (Ganoderma lucidum) using a methanol solvent has a toxic effect on the shrimp larva Artemia salina L with LC50 or toxic in the starting concentration of 76.52 ppm.
