HUMANITY ANALYSIS IN ROBERT FROST'S SELECTED POEMS

Abstract

Poems usually give expressions from real pictures of human life. In a poem we find the expressions of human purpose s and values. As Frost in his poems , he describes a lot about human values. The human values in the poems are shownclearly about human efforts to do some benefits in their life. This study analyzed the aspect of human values which and purposes on their life to make them as a subject not as an object. It anlyzed the humanity aspects in ten selected Frost’s poems. To find the humanity aspects in the poems the writer describes some figurative languages are found in the poems.The method used in this study is decriptive. And in analyzing the poems, the theory of lyric poetry and figurative language from Di Yanni and Madden are used. After analyzing the poems the writer found some values of humanity aspects  in Frost’s poems. The humanity aspects are included human values in his efforts to get succeed and his dream of a good future life, human relationship to the environment, and human relationship to the creator (God). Humanity as reflected in Frost’s poems are clearly described and it becomes and interesting poems to read. Key Words: Poems, human, humanity, values, lyric, and figurative language
