Abstract
Twenty strains of Lentinula edodes were used in the study in order to compare their growth rates of mycelia and fruitbodies at high temperature. The results showed the mycelium growth rates of all strains at 30℃ are remarkably lower than those at 26℃. Mycelia stop growth but not die at 35℃. The fruitbodies of high temperature type strains are formed at 20--33℃, high yields are obtained at 20--28℃, and few fruitbodies are formed at 30--33℃. The strains suitable for summer cultivation are L16, Cr04, Shenxiang2, Wuxiang1 and L973.
