Abstract
Acute kidney injury (AKI) is one of the most serious complications of rhabdomyolysis (RM). AKI occurs in 13 to 50% of all cases of rhabdomyolysis, where mortality rates might rise up to 59% in critically ill patients. We studied the etiologies, severity, biochemical changes, clinical course and prognosis of rhabdomyolysis induced AKI (RM-AKI) and compared it with septic AKI among hospitalized patients.
