Abstract

The rapid development of electronic information technology and networks promote the emergence of e-commerce. Through e-commerce, the buyers can choose the most economical and desirable goods in the shortest time at home. And the sellers can display their products in the lowest cost of sales as well as to obtain the customer’s demand information. It brings an unprecedented shopping experience to both buyers and sellers. However, when shopping online, customers have to make shopping decisions fully based on the information online such as graphics and description of goods. A higher return rate is generated by the large gap between the consumer mind and the actual quality of goods. There is a higher requirement for the reverse logistics operation with the large number of returns. But people often consider the forward logistics costs and ignore the reverse logistics costs, which makes the company’s profit maximized. This paper lists three kinds of reverse logistics operation modes and comparison, in order to help the companies operate reverse logistics efficiently.
