Abstract

비부비동염은 대부분 양측성이지만,일측성인 경우 도 드물지 않다. 일측성 비부비동염의 흔한 원인으로 진균성 비부비동염(fungal sinusitis),치성 비부비동염 (odontogenic sinusitis) 등이 있으며,그 외 악성 종양(sinonasal malignancy),반전성 유두종(inverted papilloma) 등의 종양도 원인질환이 된다. 일측성 비부비동염은 대 부분은 부비동 자체에서 기인하나,치성 부비동염은 부 비동이 아닌 구강 특히 치아의 감염에서 기인하며 전체 상악동염 (maxillary sinusitis) 의 10% 가량으로 알려져 있다.1)
