Abstract The adsorption behavior of sulfate and bisulfate ions on a Pt electrode in 0.5 M Na2SO4 solutions containing a small amount of H2SO4 (pH 3.4) or NaOH (pH 11.5) is studied in situ by potential difference FT‐IRRAS (Fourier transform IR reflection absorption spectroscopy).
